Ronald Lotgerink succeeds Francis Kint as the new CEO of the meat company per September 1st. Lotgerink now holds the position of CEO at Zwanenberg Food Group. Chairman Aldo van der Laan, for now, takes over as acting CEO.

Lotgerink started his career at KPMG. In 1989 he began as CFO at Zwanenberg Food Group. He was announced CEO in 2007. Aldo van der Laan:”We are very sorry that Ronald Lotgerink is leaving us, however, we are delighted for him to take this next step in his career at one of the largest meat companies in Europe. Ronald has had a very important impact towards the development of Zwanenberg Food Group within his nearly 30 years of employment.”
Since 2014 Lotgerink has been part of the Advisory Board of Vion. Lotgerink:’For me Vion is a company vital for the meat industry. It makes me proud to have the chance to become the next CEO of this company, more so because I originate from a family of butchers. Vion has the right strategy to build a sustainable future within this industry, I intend to continue and reinforce this strategy.”

He is very familiar with the challenges of the international meat markets and has a very broad experience with branded products, private labels, and the meat processing industry. Additionally, he is a member of our Advisory Board which gives him a head start in his new position.”
With the appointment of the new CEO, the Administrative Board of Vion consists of Ronald Lotgerink and CFO Joost Sliepenbeek. His appointment as CEO means that Ronald Lotgerink will step down from the Advisory Board.
