Redesigning Innovation in Food

(Re)designing food in rapidly changing consumer markets with digital technologies and lots of data! How do producers of food ingredients, operating in business-to-business environments, respond and come up with innovative concepts?

In the Nhow Hotel Rotterdam, Tom de Ruyck, Professor and Managing Partner at Insites Consulting, took the participants on a journey along Consumer Insights and Activation. After an informal dinner in the Fenix Food Factory, Bart Fischer, Consultant and owner of 7BFT, gave the participants an insight in the possibilities to co-create with retailers, using pop-up labs and concept stores. The next day was spent at the RDM Innovation Dock, a very creative and innovative hotspot at the former RDM wharf. Piet Buwalda, Manager Innovation Centre at AVEBE, used the Eteniaâ„¢ case to explain the co-development and co-creative process with 6 Sigma, Lean Start-up and Design Cycles tools. After a tour through the Innovation Dock, an introduction to the principles of Blockchain and a lunch in the RDM canteen, it was time for consultants Jan Vaessen, Jan Vaessen Facilitation, and Theo van de Poll, Utenpolle, to share their knowledge and experiences on Design Thinking and Agile Acting.
