Markets topic: Building brands in business to business food
In the privacy of the IFFI network, sales, marketing and communications professionals in the food ingredients industry (IFFI members and non-members) will discuss the value of brands in the food ingredients industry. In addition to technologies and functionalities IFFI member organisations offer values that can be captured in one or more brands. How can IFFI members in a food ingredients environment benefit from a branding strategy aimed at their business to business clients and stakeholders?
Guest Speaker: Andy Mosmans, Strategy Director at ARA His brand knowledge and sense of spirituality are an inspiring factor for colleagues and clients. He worked at Philips and the FHV BBDO group. At ARA he is responsible for strategy and new business development. Andy wrote seven books and many articles. He is a lecturer at the Postgraduate Brand management course of the AOG School of Management/University of Groningen, is member of the Board of Trustees of Rotterdam Partners and the Advisory Board of Yacht. His convincing performance makes him a frequently asked speaker at conferences.
Target group: managing directors, commercial directors, (key)account managers, business development and market managers, marketing and communications professionals as well as all IFFI members and invitees involved in building brands.

Hotel New York is situated in the beautiful former head office of the Holland America Line. From here, thousands of emigrants left for North America, hoping for a better life. Nowadays, people come here to sleep, celebrate, eat, drink and do business in a special atmosphere. As soon as you enter the building, you get a sense of nostalgia. It is everywhere – from the cast-iron hotel staircase and the numerous trunks and pictures of emigrants to the former offices of its past directors.

In many major foreign cities such as London, Paris and Barcelona market halls are a commonplace. But the combination with 228 appartments in the roof makes Markthal Rotterdam unique in the world. On the inside of the forty meters high arch you can admire an impressive work of art of more than 11,000 m2. It was made by Arno Coenen and consists of life-size images of the fresh products which are sold in the market hall by around 100 permanent and temporary market stalls as well as fifteen stores and eight catering businesses.
The IFFI dinner meeting programme includes dinner, lunch and refreshments and excludes eventual accommodation costs. Participation costs for non-members are € 150,- excluding VAT. Participation costs for IFFI colleagues are covered by the membership fee. IFFI has optional reservations on rooms (€ 145,–) in Hotel New York. Please use the online registration form to request a hotel room if you wish to stay overnight. We will arrange the reservation for you. Please note that in case of cancellations later than 14 days in advance of your stay, we are forced to charge you the cancellation costs (15-100%).
